Louisiana marine biologists dropped a gator carcass into 7,000 feet of Gulf of Mexico goodness. It gets disembowled by giant roly polies. No thanks.
But really, this is awesome. We can search for aliens all day long, but they’re right here.

The whalefall time- lapses are always impressive for similar reasons (though they tend to be more sharks and crabs) . I think these people are supposed to be back on scene now, it will be interesting to see what things are like a month later.

This is why nobody swims on gulf coast beaches... Not really. It’s because of the petroleum industry and city drainage
